Yesterday I bought Josey a toddler swing for my backyard, and it was an instant hit. She giggled and smiled and laughed, over and over. She ate supper at my house, a common occurrence, thank God!

- I've worked in the education business for 35 years now. Since fall 2000, I've also been a free-lance writer in equine publications - and I really enjoy that. I've met some of the most interesting folks! I also have some cattle and help tend those of my mother's also. For the past 10 years or so, I've been an AQHA show secretary and/or assistant, but I gave up the full-fledged secretary jobs, and have been laid off the assistant gig, but maybe that'll give me time to do a better job of the other things I do - though I will miss the shows. I do public relations for the Texas State 4-Horse Show every July, and I really enjoy that. I'm also Madison County Democratic Party Chairperson.
